Le Chardon

Nous avons passé une semaine dans ce chalet loué pour l’occasion en chambre séparée. Les autres couples (Britanniques) étaient très agréables. Le chalet est luxueux, le service de chauffeurs efficace, la restauration petit déjeuné, thé et diner sont de haute qualité. Une semaine de rêve.

Nous revenons de Val d'Isère où nous avons passé 4 jours en famille au Chalet Chardon. Tout était juste parfait!!! L'accueil, le chalet magnifique, le service irréprochable, les repas fins et exquis, l'attention particulière du personnel envers notre fils de 1 an, les activités au chalet (jacuzzi, spa, massage, luge...). Nous sommes ravis et retournerons au Chardon c'est sûr!||De plus la vue sur la vallée du Manchet est la plus extraordinaire de Val, nous avons vu des marmottes du chalet et la neige même à cette époque était extra.||Le service de chauffeur était très pratique, de plus toutes nos demandes étaient anticipées. ||Nous sommes très connaisseur de Val d'Isère et aimons beaucoup cette station depuis plus de 10 ans, là, nous avons découvert la perle de Val d'Isère. Merci à toute l'équipe!!

This was the third time we have stayed in a Le Chardon Lodge in Val d'Isere, and it was every bit as good as our previous visits. Josh was a brilliant host/chalet manager at Chalet Mistral, and his staff were equally obliging, attentive, courteous and basically great people. The chef produced terrific three course meals each night, the rooms were cleaned each morning and courtesy drivers were on hand to take you wherever at any time through the day or evening.||||Chalet Mistral is a fantastic base, with beams the size of tree trunks giving it a rustic feel, yet with first class facilities. The outdoor hot tub was a particular favourite at the end of a day's skiing, with quality complimentary drinks supplementing the experience. ||||In short, choose a Le Chardon Lodge and you will not be disappointed. And no, I have no links whatsoever with the company !

For a group of Cambridge friends who ski annually, catered Chalet Lafitenia was undoubtedly the best we have ever experienced. Discrete and attentive service allowed us to enjoy the exclusivity of the chalet while never being far from attentive service. The breakfasts and evening meals are sensational and the entire team from the housekeeping staff, chauffeurs, chef, chalet host and managers do everything they can to ensure that the stay is perfect. Oh and this chalet had two hot tubs and endless champagne! This really is skiing at the next level.

The chalet was superb. The social area was perfect. Large dining table and sofas around the real fire. The rooms were of various sizes. Ours was one of the smallest but had direct access to the hot tub outside :)||||The food was sublime - 3 courses in the evening meal. Introduced by the chef - the menu sounding like a clip from Masterchef the Professionals.||||The holiday was totally made by the staff. Josh ran a team who were patient to our requests and always behaved as though nothing was too much trouble. We were helped with restaurant bookings, ski hire, walk routes, ski routes, cash points etc. ||||The drivers who were available at all times were normally with us in 10 minutes. Again making the holiday easy.||||I would definitely recommend this chalet. I know we are returning again and if I could guarantee getting Josh as a manager again, I would rush back.

This is the second time our family have stayed with Le Chardon and we had a perfect holiday. The situation is perfect, uninterrupted spectacular views and ski in/out. Of most importance is the staff who couldn’t be more helpful with the children and no request was too much. The on site manager (Sebastian) was just brilliant; made us feel so welcome from the beginning and we felt that everything was always being taken care of. Also Sebastian’s local knowledge and connections were massively helpful. The chef (Tom) prepared the most wonderful food and it was almost a shame when we had dinners out (which weren’t as good). The breakfasts were also fantastic. Thanks also to the drivers who were always available and helpful with the ski gear and getting the kids safely away in the mornings.||In short we mourning being back after what was a perfect holiday.
